This policy explains what I collect, why I collect it, and the choices you have.
Who I am
Less Is More Kitchen — Squamish, BC, Canada.
What I collect (and why)
I only collect what I need to run the site and reply to you.
- Contact forms / email: your name, email, message.
Purpose: reply to questions and follow up. - Newsletter (Mailchimp): email address.
Purpose: send updates you asked for; unsubscribe anytime. - Payments for gift cards (Square): name, email, payment details processed by Square.
Purpose: complete your purchase and deliver the card. I don’t store full card details on my site. - Orders (only if/when online checkout is enabled): name, contact details, shipping/pickup info, and order details.
Purpose: process your order, payment, and customer service. - Website logs: basic security and error logs from my host.
Purpose: keep the site safe and working. - Optional analytics (Matomo): only if you enable it in the cookie banner.
Purpose: measure basic site use (e.g., page views and popular pages). IPs are anonymized; no ad tracking or cross-site profiling.
I don’t sell or share your personal information for money. I keep data collection to a minimum.
Cookies
I use Essential cookies and, if you allow them, Functional/Analytics cookies (for embeds and Matomo).
No advertising or performance cookies.

Embedded content & services I use
Some pages may include embeds (e.g., a map or an Instagram feed). Those services may set their own cookies if you allow “Functional” cookies.
- Instagram feed (optional): shows photos; Instagram may set cookies if enabled.
- Google Maps (optional): loads a map; Google may set cookies if enabled.
- Mailchimp (newsletter): stores your email and delivers messages as my processor.
- Matomo (analytics, optional): first-party analytics with IP anonymization; data stays on my host.
How long I keep your data
- Contact messages: up to 12 months.
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe (or I close the list).
- Orders and invoices (if/when enabled): kept as required for tax and accounting.
- Security logs: short, rolling periods.

Where your data is processed
My trusted service providers (hosting, email, newsletter, payments if enabled) may store data in or outside Canada. They only get the minimum needed to provide their service.
Your choices & rights
- Access / correct / delete your information.
- Unsubscribe anytime from emails (link in each email).
- Change cookie choices via the Cookie Settings tab or banner.

Security
I use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No website can guarantee perfect security, but I work to keep risk low.

This site isn’t directed to children under 13.
